Audel hopes spell in European game will help him fit in with Crewe

Crewe Alexandra’s new singing Thierry Audel is hopeful his experience in European football will help him quickly adapt to life with Crewe Alexandra. Audel put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the Alex earlier this week and the former Macclesfield man is determined to make an impression at Gresty Road.

Prior to his time with Macclesfield, Audel had spells in both Italy and his native France. He believes that broad experience of different footballing cultures will be very beneficial with the Railwaymen.

Audel told Crewe Alex Player: “Every culture teaches you something different. In France it is a more technical game and in Italy it is more tactical. Now I have come to England it is more physical.

“But I know that Crewe play a more technical game, so I hope that my experience of the technical game can help me fit in.

“This is a good opportunity with a club who will bring me to the top level I hope. In pre-season we have some big games and it is an opportunity to show what kind of player I am. I can't wait.”
