Steve Davis says he is still looking to improve his squad

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that talks are still on-going with potential targets and he hopes that something can be finalised ahead of the club’s pre-season trip to Cornwall next week.

“The squad is decent. I think it is strong but we still want to improve it and add quality. Talks are on-going with other players and we have been active in lining up a replacement if Murph was to leave. We have spoken to two in advance of that happening.

“Of course, it will be difficult to replace a player of Murph’s calibre because he has had an outstanding couple of seasons. We are not going to go out and find another Luke Murphy, let’s be clear about that. All we can do is go out and try and find a similar type of player.”
