Talks Break Down With Winger

Crewe move on to two other targets after talks end

Crewe Alexandra Football Club can confirm that advanced talks with a potential new signing have broken down and that Steve Davis and his assistant manager Neil Baker will now be moving on to other targets.

The club were hopeful of signing a promising winger this week, after completing the signing of the Lincoln forward Vadaine Oliver yesterday on a two-year deal, but the club staff have grown increasingly frustrated as talks have stalled between the club, the player and his representative.

With Steve Davis looking to conduct his transfer activity as early as possible, the Crewe coaching staff have now moved on to two other candidates for that particular position.

Crewe are still looking to add a winger and a ball playing central midfield player to increase competition in that area of the field.
