Alex boss hopeful on duo

Steve Davis has revealed to crewealex.net that he is still monitoring the situation with former loan players Brad Inman and Chuks Aneke. The duo proved to be big hits with the Alex last term, and Davis is hopeful that they could return to South Cheshire next term.

Both Aneke and Inman are now on holiday, and Davis plans to resume talks with their representatives when they return.

Davis is hopeful that the experience they picked up at Gresty Road could have a factor in persuading them to return to South Cheshire.

Steve told crewealex.net: “The situation is on-going with Brad and Chuks. I spoke to them both before they went away and have spoken with their agents as well. I have made my feelings clear about them both; we would like to bring them here.

“They were both outstanding for us last season and made big impacts. I’m sure people will have taken notice about how well they did for us last season.

“Hopefully the fact that they know the club and enjoyed their time with us last season may give us a little advantage. They both know what I want to do with this club. They know I want to take it to the next level and get out of the division. They wouldn’t just be coming here to play football, they would be coming here to progress to the next level.”
