Neil Baker looks forward to getting group back together again
Neil Baker says he is looking forward to all the players returning to full training next Tuesday, as Crewe Alexandra start there full-time pre-season training. As is the norm at Crewe, the players are required to attend weekly sessions throughout the summer to make sure their conditioning, injury prevention and fitness remains high through the closed season.
The players will now report back on 25th June ahead of our confirmed pre-season matches, which includes home match matches against Blackburn, Aston Villa and Manchester United.
Baker told the club’s official web-site: “There are a number of special days in the football calendar and one of those as a coach and a player is the first day of pre-season. It is always good to get all the players back in together and assess their fitness.
“You can really get down to work and start planning for the new season. Of course, the pre-season games will decide who will play against Rotherham on the opening day of the season.
“It is always something to look forward to and I’m sure the players will be looking forward to it as well.”
