Seve Davis looking to improve agent relationships
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that is out to improve relationships with players’ agents. The Alex boss is hoping to develop a trustworthy bond with certain agents and appreciates that football agents do play a major role in modern day football.
Davis has already held discussions with the agent of Max Clayton in regards to extending his stay at the club and has already spoken to the representatives of potential transfer targets this summer.
Davis told crewealex.net: “I think it is good to have conversations with the agents of the players. I think it is important to develop those relationships and try to build up that trust. I have always been happy to do that.
“There are ones we don’t know too much about, so think it is beneficial to have them in and have a chat to see who is representing them and what their feelings are. That is what I’ve tried to do with Max’s agent, to see what we are thinking.
“I think it is good to have that knowledge as it will help in the future and developing that contact.”
