The new season is nearly upon us but Crewe Alexandra still have two superb friendly matches to look forward to. First up is Paul Lambert's young and exciting Aston Villa side, who deservedly remained in the FA Premier League last season and now they will be looking to move forward.

It should be a great occasion with our former captain and local lad Ash Westwood retuning with the Villains. Westy won't be the only great name on show, with the likes of Lowton, Vlaar, Agbonlahor and Benteke all expected to feature at some point.
