Davis hopin to secure Murphy replacement

Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that the club are hopefully closing in another midfield player. Following Luke Murphy’s departure to Leeds United this summer, the club are actively looking for another central midfield player and currently have the former Manchester United youngster Luke Giverin and Ademola.

Following the club’s 5-0 win over Norton United, the Crewe boss said: “We are close to one and hopefully we can conclude something by the end of this week or into next week.

“If we can do something then it would be a great addition to our squad.”
