Steve praise for Eddie Howe's work on his return

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that he is not surprised with Bournemouth’s rise up the League One table since Eddie Howe returned to the club. The Cherries are now genuine contenders for promotion after a fantastic run, although ended last weekend at Walsall they bounced back to win at Hartlepool on Tuesday evening.

Steve told crewealex.net: “I am not surprised with what has happened at Bournemouth since Eddie came back because most of the players knew him, the staff him and the supporters believed in him. He did a good job before he went to Burnley and has come back and restored that confidence.

“I am not surprised by the success he has had because Eddie is someone who as a coach gets the best out of his players and they have good players as well. He plays to their strengths like every good coach should do.

“I hope it is a good open game, and entertaining for the supporters. It should be a really good game of football and a good challenge for us. We like playing as well, we have done well away and won at places such as Doncaster and Preston so we are not fazed by it. “
