Steve Davis says he doesn't expect much activity in January

Steve Davis is hoping that the January transfer window remains quiet as he looks to keep his best players at the club. After losing arguably his best two performers Nick Powell and Ashley Westwood to the Premier League in the summer, the Alex boss doesn’t want any to follow this month!

The boss admits that it is still very early in the month but he is already ticking the days off on his new calendar.

 “I don’t envisage getting anyone else in at the moment but it is still early. It is only the first week into the window, so we don’t want to be caught out. I am already ticking the days off on the calendar.”
