Young keeper signs up to the summer of 2015.
Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce that young goalkeeper Ben Garratt has extended his contract with the club. Garratt’s deal had been due to expire this summer, but he is now set to stay with the Railwaymen until the summer of 2015.
England youth international Garratt is yet to make his full debut for the Railwaymen, but he has been impressive form for the Crewe U21 this term, and boss Steve Davis has often praised his progress.
Garratt is set to line up for the Railwaymen in their Cheshire Senior Cup tie with Northwich Victoria this evening, and Davis is delighted to see him sign up.
“We have signed Ben up for another two years and we are really pleased with that, “Davis explained to crewealex.net. “He is one for the future and we are delighted to see him sign.
“It is a good move him and the club. He is an England goalkeeper and we are excited about him. We see him as somebody who will start to push for a place. He is improving all the time and he fully deserves his contract"
