Assistant manager pleased with AJ and Coco Goals

Neil Baker, the club’s assistant manager, has told the club’s official web-site that forwards Ryan Colclough and AJ Leitch-Smith did their chances of a start for the first-team no harm whatsoever in Monday’s 2-0 win over Sheffield United in the development league.

Ryan Colclough won and then confidently stroked home a penalty before Leitch-Smith sealed the win with a finely taken individual goal in the second half.

Baker was pleased with the contribution of his forward players in Sheffield: “It was a bit of a experimental team on Monday and Ryan and AJ both did well for us. They got some minutes and fitness under their belts and got on the scoresheet as well.

 “Once they stopped going out wide too often they became more of threat and they did their chances no harm. Hopefully, having AJ complete 90 minutes and get a goal will give him more confidence.”
