Aneke to think over extending his loan after chat with the boss

Chuks Aneke has gone away to consider his options before deciding whether to extend his loan spell with the club into a fourth month. Aneke is contemplating a return South after recently losing his starting place in the Crewe Alexandra due to some tactical changes.

Aneke did make an impression in his last outing for the club when coming on a late substitute against Bradford City in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, scoring one and creating another for Brad Inman. Crewe are eager for Aneke to remain at the club and continue to gain first-team experience.

The Arsenal midfielder Chuks Aneke, 19, has made 22 appearances during his time with the Railwaymen and netted six goals. He is currently our second leading scorer behind Mathias Pogba (11)

After a red-card on his full debut away at Stevenage, Aneke’s time with the Railwaymen picked up with a stunning strike against Hartlepool in early October. Aneke followed that up with an important equaliser at Walsall and another spectacular strike in the F.A. Cup win over Wycombe.

Aneke netted another at Sheffield United in Crewe’s 3-3 draw, but it was killer through balls causing problems for League One defences with Aneke claiming several assists for the Railwaymen.
