Steve Davis says it will be nice to get get back out on the training ground to work on things
Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that he is looking forward to getting back out onto the training ground to work with his players again. The hectic festive and New Year period has meant that the Alex players have only been really resting between matches, and Davis admits that a ‘free week’ this week will allow him to go over a few things both individually and collectively.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “One or two of the players are going to be tired mentally and physically because Christmas and New Year is the busiest time of the year.
“They are bound to be some knocks and a few of them will be creaking a bit. They will be feeling it and we have managed them over a busy period of games. We have tried to look after them as best we can and the amount of injuries we have is limited to just a few muscle strains.
He added: “We have a free week now and that will give us a chance to work on a few things out on the training ground. We have only had games, rest, games for a few weeks now, so we can get back out there and work on them individually and collectively and go over a few things.”
