Bakes: "Fans Have Been Terrific"

29 January 2013

Baker praises those fans who made it to Bournemouth and encourages them to buy early for Coventry

Due to demand, the match at the Ricoh Arena has now been deemed all-ticket and supporters are encouraged to purchase theirs as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.   February.thCrewe Alexandra’s assistant manager Neil Baker has praised the club’s support both at home and away and has encouraged them to purchase their tickets for the forthcoming Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Coventry City on 5

Baker told the club’s official web-site: “The support we have had both at home and away has been very good. Even on Saturday with the length of journey they had to content with and the adverse weather conditions there were a few hundred down at Bournemouth getting behind us. They have been great for us.

“I would imagine the Coventry game is going to be a sell-out there and I know our fans will want to come and get behind us. It will be a difficult game and one we will all look forward to but it is one that both ourselves and Coventry will look at and think we have a chance to get to Wembley over two legs.

“We haven’t really spoken about the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy too much because our focus is Scunthorpe on Saturday and our league form, but I know the fans are looking forward to it and would just encourage them to get their tickets to make sure they are there and helping us get a good result to take back to Gresty Road.”
