Steve to Sell Ice Creams For Charity

26 February 2013

Steve Phillips will be selling ice creams to fans tomorrow from midday for his two charities

Whitby Morrison, friends of Crewe Alexandra and of course sponsors of the Ice Cream Van Stand, will be on hand here at the Alexandra Stadium to keep you refreshed at designated times between now and the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley on Sunday 7 April.

An-Alex themed Ice Cream Van (complete with Blue Moon chime!) will be present dishing out soft ice cream to those queuing for their Wembley tickets!

To start the venture in style, Alex ‘keeper Steve Phillips will be on hand to help serve from 12pm through to 2pm tomorrow (Wednesday 27 February).

In addition, donations will also be split in support of Rainbow Trust – the chosen charity of Whitby Morrison.  Having supported Steve Phillips and his Immy Shimmy charity in 2012, Whitby Morrison will once again be supporting Steve’s 2013 charities; Caudwell Children and Leukaemia Research. In exchange for a free ice cream, Alex fans will be invited to make a donation to charity.

Whenever you’ve bought an ice cream from a van, no matter where in the world you may be, it’s quite likely it will have been built in Crewe! Founded in 1962, Whitby Morrison are based in Crewe and are recognised as the world’s leading manufacturer of ice cream vans.

Keep an eye on the Whitby Morrison twitter page for further info ( Specific dates and times will be decided on as and when depending on the demand for tickets and of course the weather!www.twitter.com/WhitbyMorrison).
