Boss predicts a tough game at Hartlepool this evening

Steve Davis expects a tough game against an in-form Hartlepool United side who are making a gallant effort to escape the relegation drop zone. Hartlepool United are currently second in the League One form table only trailing Yeovil Town.

Crewe Alexandra boss says they will be a different side to the one we defeated 5-0 on the opening day of the season in the Capital One Cup.

Ahead of the trip to Victoria Park, Steve said: “Hartlepool are on a very good run and it will be a tough game up there. They are one of the in-form teams in the division and are having a real go to stay in the league.

“They have rolled their sleeves up and though that they have nothing to lose. Perhaps they are playing with a greater fluency and freedom and are more relaxed with the situation. They are fighting and they have shown that with some great results and some comebacks.

“They are trying to get away from the bottom area and it will be a difficult game. We have beaten them twice this season, but I expect this to be a different opponent this time around.”
