Local Crewe firm offer ice cream for donations for Charity

Whitby Morrison, friends of Crewe Alexandra and of course sponsors of the Ice Cream Van Stand, was on hand here at the Alexandra Stadium to keep fans refreshed as tickets for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final at Wembley on Sunday 7 April went on sale.

An-Alex themed Ice Cream Van (complete with Blue Moon chime!) was present dishing out soft ice cream to those queuing for their Wembley tickets! To start the venture in style, Alex ‘keeper Steve Phillips was on hand to help serve at lunchtime.

All donations were made to Steve's chosen charities Caudwell Children and Leukaemia Research. In addition, donations will also be split in support of Rainbow Trust – the chosen charity of Whitby Morrison. In exchange for a free ice cream, Alex fans were invited to make a donation to charity.
