Boss has virtually full squad to choose from as Tootle returns for U-21s

Steve Davis has not fresh injury concerns ahead of tomorrow’s night trip to Hartlepool United. Defender Matt Tootle is set to feature for the club’s Under-21s at Wigan Athletic today after overcoming a foot injury alongside Saturday’s match winner Max Clayton and trialist Nathan Ellington.

The only injury concern is Jon Guthrie (groin) and he will not feature this afternoon.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Everyone came through the game okay and the Under-21s are at Wigan today. The likes of Max, Ollie, Westy and Toots will be involved. Ryan Colclough will also feature as will Nathan Ellington.

“With the amount of games we have coming up in a short space of time, the recovery times will be important. We will be organising the training to make sure that the recovery is spot on. The players are in today and we will be doing some work on Hartlepool and team play. They are on a little run, so it will be a tough game up there.”
