Aussie midfielder struggling to face Pompey
On loan Newcastle midfielder Brad Inman is a major doubt for the visit of Portsmouth this weekend after he injured his ankle in Tuesday night’s 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool. Inman received a whack on his ankle and the club are hoping that he has only suffered severe bruising more than ligament damage. This weekend’s home clash with Guy Whittingham’s Pompey side looks beyond him.
Crewe’s other absentee is young defender Jon Guthrie, who is still struggling with a groin injury. The youngster, who made his full debut at Bournemouth earlier this year, is likely to be out of training for at least another two weeks.
In the wake of Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat at Victoria Park, Steve Davis has gone on record that he may well make changes to freshen up his team. The likes of a fit-again Matt Tootle, Harry Davis and leading scorer Mathias Pogba will be hoping they can get an opportunity.
