Midfielder aiming to get back on track with three home points

Abdul Osman is hoping that Crewe can make up for ‘two points dropped’ at Notts. County by preventing an in-form Bournemouth side from hitting top spot in League One with victory at Gresty Road this evening. Eddie Howe’s side can claim pole position with a win this evening but Osman says the Railwaymen are desperate for the points to keep our own promotion chances alive.

Ahead of the Bournemouth game this evening, Osman told crewealex.net: “I thought we played reasonably well on Saturday, especially in the first half and we were disappointed not to have won. From our point of view it was two points dropped.

“It was a tough game at Notts. County but we felt we had the chances to have won the game, but we will have to take the point and move on.  The games are coming thick and fast and we have the perfect chance to get a positive result in front of our home fans.

“They are all difficult games but we are playing teams in and around us, so it is in our own hands. We just have to find that consistency.

“We played well at Bournemouth, especially in that first half and we were disappointed to lose. We felt a bit hard done by with the decisions, but Bournemouth are a good side. They are a football team and we are a footballing team as well, so it should be a good game.

Steve added: “It is one to look forward to and if we work hard and play well then there is no reason why we cannot win and keep the pressure on to those clubs ahead of us.”
