Crewe target three points to bring Shrews back into it

Steve Davis is hoping his side can move to within two points of this weekend’s opponents with a home victory over Shrewsbury Town. “Shrewsbury are similar to us. They have been promoted and are trying to establish themselves in the division. We have four games in a short space of time and we are capable of picking up a good hail of points and build on what we have been able to do against Crawley and Coventry.

The boss added: “It is a local derby of sorts against Shrewsbury and it will a good marker of where we are now. We have improved and we want to close that gap as soon as we can because at the moment it is still very close.”
