Don't Expect Anyone To Leave

20 December 2013

Boss looking to keep his squad together during the transfer window

.stSteve Davis has told the club’s web-site that he isn’t expecting anyone to leave the club in the January transfer window. The Crewe boss has said it ‘wouldn’t be wise’ to let any of his main players leave unless a ridiculous offer comes in once the window opens on January 1

The Alex boss told the club’s official web-site: “I don’t expect anyone to leave in January and I am under no pressure to sell anyone. I have had no enquires about any of our players and I have only read what everyone else has read.

“That happens at this time of year with the window about to open. I don’t think it would be wise to let anyone leave in the New Year.

“We have let three main players leave over the last couple of seasons and any team would struggle if they lose half a team in a short space of time.

“We would only consider selling someone if a ridiculous offer came in for them, so we’ll see.”
