Ryan Colclough not to travel to Wolves on Boxing Day
Winger Ryan Colclough is unlikely to feature at Molineux on Boxing Day after being unable to train because of abdominal pain. The club are taking no chances with the teenager after he suffered a set-back with his stomach when returning to action with the club’s Under-21 side.
Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Ryan is not quite there yet and we won’t take any chances with him. He has had some discomfort there and has not been able to train.
“If it settles down then he could travel to Colchester after Christmas and he should certainly be available for the Carlisle game on New Year’s Day.
“Ryan started the season really well and was arguably our most consistent performer in the early part of the season.
“He is not that far off but like Pogs he is another we don’t want to take a risk on just yet if he is 100% fit. They will be like new signings for us. “
