Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Steve Phillips will host a Christmas Bingo afternoon in a bid to raise money for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

This afternoon will be a fun gathering of supporters and  will take place in the Carlsberg Lounge from 2pm. Tickets are priced at £3 with all proceeds from the day going to the Dougie Mac.

Steve said: “We wanted to do something for a different charity and I’m sure most people have been affected by cancer in one or another, so we thought that the Douglas Macmillan was an ideal choice.

“We have had a few months since London-to-Paris, so it will be nice to have a bit of a gathering , have a few games of bingo and get some of the fans together. It is a cheap afternoon, the bar will be open and the football will be on, so it should be good.”

The Douglas Macmillan Hospice was established in 1973 as a 28-bed care facility for people suffering from incurable cancer, serving the North Staffordshire area but now looks after people with other life-limiting illnesses.

So why not come down today and join in the fun and help raise some funds for a great cause. The bar in the Carlsberg Lounge will be open and there will be some excellent prizes on offer. So come down to the Alex and get involved on what is sure to be an excellent day.
