Boss says Hereford loan switch will do Michael the world of good

Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that Michael West’s one-month loan deal to Hereford United will do him the world of good. The former Ebbsfleet midfielder featured for the Bulls at Alferton on Bank Holiday Monday.

With an influx of midfield and wingers joining the club in the summer, West has found his first-team opportunities limited to two substitute appearances this season.

Davis is keen for the 22-year-old to get some competitive action under his belt.

“Westy will benefit from some playing some competitive football. I think it will do him some good to get minutes on the pitch, ‘says Steve.

“We were keen to get him out for a short period and getting him playing again and he played on Monday, so that would have done him some good in terms of his overall match fitness.”
