"We Will Improve"

Alan Martin says young group will gel sooner rather than later

Goalkeeper Alan Martin says there is no need to panic as it is still early days in the 2013/14 season. The current Alex number one says that Crewe’s young group will only improve and gel sooner rather than later.

The former Scotland Under-21 goalkeeper told Crewe Alex Player: “It is still early days and everyone is still trying to gel. Everyone think that we will gel straight away because we train together every day but it doesn’t always work out like that.

“The way I see it is that this team can only get better. Hopefully we will hit our stride sooner rather than later.

“The last time we went to Swindon it wasn't a good game for us, but hopefully we can go there and do a lot better.

“They are always a good side and well prepared, they will have a good crowd behind them but every game is hard we just have to deal with it.”
