Matt Tootle says dressing room want to kick start season with three points this weekend
Matt Tootle says the Crewe dressing room is determined to secure those first three points of the season against Tranmere Rovers this weekend.
Tootle says the Railwaymen should have collected four points instead of one after surrendering a 3-1 lead to Rotherham and then being unable to find an equaliser in the second half against MK Dons.
Tootle told the club’s official web-site: “We should have got something last weekend. We deserved a point at least. I thought we had better chances than MK Dons.
“They bundled one in, we were saying in the dressing room that we don't score that type of goal but we concede them and that's annoying.
“We should have had three points against Rotherham and we should have had a draw at MK Dons at least. It should have been a decent start to the season for us.
“We have been a bit unlucky but we have to keep our heads up, it's Tranmere this weekend and that's a game we can definitely win. We have to keep going and not get down.
The full-back added: “The lads have worked on it and hopefully we will get our first three points this weekend.”
