Still Hopeful On Brad Deal

16 August 2013

Steve hoping final bid will prove successful

Steve Davis has admitted to that he remains unsure if the club will be able to conclude a deal with the Newcastle United midfielder Bradden Inman. The Alex boss is compiling a final offer for the 21-year-old in an attempt to end the transfer saga that has frustratingly dragged on for a couple months. If Newcastle reject the club’s final offer, then Davis will have to decide whether to risk a tribunal or not.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “The issue with Brad has not been sorter but we think we are edging closer. I knew it would be a long drawn affair and I told Brad that it would be. He is frustrated because he is a young player who wants to play football but he has remained patient.

“Nothing surprises me. Transfers can take a day or to but others can take weeks. It depends on the situation and this has been a complicated one.

“Just when it looks as though we are getting closer something else pops up, but we keep plugging away at it and hopefully we will be able to conclude it because he will certainly benefit our squad.”
