Steve Davis says it will be another tough test at Orient this weekend

Steve Davis is expecting another tough game against the current table toppers Leyton Orient this weekend. Russell Slade’s Orient side have been the early pace setters in Sky Bet League One, scoring nine goals and conceding just one in their first three games thus far.

Crewe will be looking to build on a 2-1 win over Tranmere at the weekend with another positive display at the Match Room Stadium.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash, Steve said: “They were a very promising side last year and have made some good additions. They finished strongly last season and have carried on their form.

“It's a really tough game but we come off the back of a good result, it will be a big test. Russell Slade has some very talented players and has a decent budget, I know what he pays his players because we were offered one of them in the summer and couldn't get anywhere near it.

“We have to look at how we can hurt them, exploit their weaknesses. We will be trying to do what we do best. I have to put out a team that is willing to fight, roll their sleeves up and have a go.”
