Byron needs to add goals to his all-round skilful game
Steve Davis has encouraged Byron Moore to be more ruthless in front of goal. The winger produced comfortably his best all-round performance of the season against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, but it was opposite winger Ryan Colclough who grabbed all the headlines with his match winning brace.
Moore was in great form and enticed the Tranmere Rovers full-back into two quick fire yellow cards in the first half to reduce the visitors to ten men for almost an hour.
The Alex boss said of Moore: “Ryan won us the game against Tranmere with his two match winning goals but both wingers were excellent for us. They were a menace throughout the game, put a lot of crosses in and ran at defenders. I like that from wingers.
“They showed great pace and skill and they both have to continue being consistent. Byron just has to add goals to his game, because he is a threat and he works hard defensively as well.”
