Manager pleased to have Molyneux available again after ban
The return from suspension of Lee Molyneux will give Steve Davis a left-footed option in midfield or as part of an attacking trio, if he considers handing the former Accrington wide man his debut.
Molyneux was sent off at the end of last season for a rash tackle against Oxford, but after serving his three match ban, the former Everton trainee is now available again.
Davis, who could also welcome back wide man Byron Moore from injury, for this weekend’s home encounter with Tranmere Rovers, told crewealex.net: “Lee gives us something different and he is a good player.
“He is a player capable of playing that key through ball, those defence splitting passes. He can operate on the left or we can play him on the right and allow him to cut in. He has a wand of a left-foot and gives us a different option.
The manager added: “It is always good to have a natural left footer available and we know he can shoot from the goals he scored for Accrington last season. We have missed him as an option and it is good to have him back.”
