Former Alex boss Steve named England Under-21 assistant manager

The former Crewe Alexandra manager and Academy coach, Steve Holland, has been named as the new assistant manager of the England Under-21s. Holland, who spent 17 years as a coach and then manager of Crewe Alexandra FC will assist Gareth Southgate in a new-look set-up.

Holland is currently assisting Jose Mourinho as part of the Chelsea coaching staff. Steve, also worked briefly for Stoke City's Academy after leaving Crewe in 2008.
