Assistant manager not totally ruling out deadline movement.
Neil Baker has not totally ruled out the club conducting some more business before the summer transfer window closes on 2nd September. Once the Brad Inman transfer can be confirmed, Crewe Alexandra would have 28 players, all capable of playing in our first-team and Baker said it gives the club options to change in relation to getting a result.
Baker told the club’s official web-site: “Who knows what might happen between now and the deadline. We certainly don’t want to lose anyone that’s for sure.
“We do have a big squad at the moment and it is as competitive as I have known it, but you can still look at it sometimes and think that if you could be a few injuries away in certain positions, from having to look at things again.
“We have had some interest from clubs in regards to loaning some of our players out and we always give that serious thought but we don’t want to do that and then have one or two injuries and have to get someone in on loan to replace them.”
