Duggy In Tranmere Loan

30 August 2013

Defender joins League One side until September 30th.

Crewe Alexandra can confirm that Adam Dugdale has agreed a loan move to fellow League One side Tranmere Rovers. Dugdale, who is yet to feature for the Alex this term, will be with the Prenton Park club until September 30th.

Central-defender Dugdale has been influential member of the Alex playing squad ever since his return to the club in the summer of 2010. After establishing himself in the Alex first-team, he featured in all but three of the Railwaymen’s games during their 2011/12

promotion season, scoring in the Play-Off Semi-Final win over Southend United.

A personal tragedy limited him to just 24 appearances for the Alex last term, but he still played a key part in helping the Alex reach Wembley for a second successive season with an impressive display in the 3-0 Area Final JPT win at Coventry.

The emergence of George Ray coupled with a pre-season injury has seen Dugdale fall down the pecking order with the Alex during the opening games of this season, and he will now look to get a run of first-team games during this loan spell.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Adam all the very best during his loan.
