Davis On Inman Deal

20 August 2013

Steve praise for Alex board and staff for their determination to see job through

Steve Davis has praised the club chairman John Bowler, the board of directors and staff for their determination to bring Bradden Inman to the Football Club. The 21-year-old is close to signing a three-year deal with the club after Crewe and Newcastle came to an agreement over the transfer fee and personal terms with the player.

Steve appreciates that the deal is not ‘totally done and dusted’ just yet but says the transfer saga is drawing to a conclusion.

The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “The Football Club have worked very hard on trying to bring Brad into the club and I am thankful to John (Bowler), the directors, Alison (Business operations Manager) and Neil Baker for making it happen. Having a club backing you 100% when you target a player makes your life much easier.

“They all deserve great credit for what I think will prove to be a great signing for the club. He will add strength to our options and will be a real asset to us.

“He has the potential to develop into a very good player and to those pessimistic supporters, who didn’t think it would happen they should have a bit more faith in the club.

He added: “It has been complicated with the negotiations and a long drawn out process but Brad wanted to come here and we wanted him here, so we did we all could and had to remain patient.”
