Chuks Aneke won't be too far behind in the fitness stakes

Steve Davis, the Crewe Alexandra manager, says that his latest loan signing Chuks Aneke will ‘not be too far the others’ when it comes to his fitness levels after he was included in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “It is good to have Chuks back with us. When he came on Saturday, he got a terrific reception from the supporters and he nearly found the forward players through with two or three great passes.

“He brings that quality into our game and he gave everyone a lift when he came on in the second half.

Steve added: “We will keep an eye on his fitness and keep on assessing that. He has played a few games for Arsenal in pre-season and trained with the first-team squad there, so he won’t be far off. He shouldn’t be that far behind them.”
