Throwing Of Missles - Football Offences Act

It is an offence to throw at or towards the playing area/area adjacent to or are in which spectators are or may be present without lawful authority or excuse. The act of throwing constitutes the offence as there is no need to prove that the object was directed at a particular person or that anyone was likely to be alarmed or distressed.

Possessing Flare/Firework; Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol) act 1985 creates offences relating to possession of fireworks and flares at sports grounds.

A person is guilty of an offence if he has an article or substance to which this section applies in his possession.

A) At any time during the period of a designated sporting event when he is in any area of a designated sports ground from which the vent may be directly viewed or

B) While entering or trying to enter a designated sports ground at any time during the PERIOD of a designated sporting event at the ground 

It is for the accused to prove that he had possession with lawful authority.

This section of the act applies to any article whose main purpose is the emission of a flare for purposes of illuminating or signalling or the emission of smoke or a visible gas, this section also refers to any article that is a firework.
