Alex boss looking forward to a goo game of football tomorrow

Steve Davis is a keen admirer of the way Karl Robinson approaches his football philosophy with the MK Dons and says he is expecting another stylish game of football at Stadium: MK tomorrow afternoon. The Crewe Alexandra boss is hoping his side can put on another positive display like they did in the first half against Rotherham United and against MK Dons last season.

Crewe won 2-1 at Gresty Road in March and were rather unlucky not to come away from Milton Keynes with something after a really good start to the second half. Crewe lost 1-0 thanks to a well taken goal from Charlie McDonald.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “The confidence is still high and we are looking forward to the game. The confidence has not been affected too much because I think we have played reasonably well in the opening two games.

“We have been very disappointed with the goals we have conceded but the players have worked hard to put that right. We will go to the MK Dons and play with confidence.

“It should be a good game of football because Karl has built a team to play football the right way. Their game is based around possession football and controlling the tempo. When you are up against good technical players it is important you get close to them.

“They are a dangerous opponent to play against because they are very good at exploiting space. That makes things difficult but we have looked at them and think we can cause them problems as well.”
