New club skipper Abdul Osman on new honour

Club captain Abdul Osman has spoken about the honour of being handed the armband for the new season. Osman has replaced Luke Murphy as the Alex skipper for the new campaign, and he says it is a privilege.

While he admits he won’t be barking out instructions at his teammates, he is hopeful he can pass on some of his experience to a youthful Alex side and lead by the Alex example.

Osman told crewealex.net: “I am very privileged. As you know there have been some great captains at this Football Club, some of which who have come through the academy and gone on.  I have just got to repay the manager now

“We have some young players here, and I am just going to do my best to help them on the pitch and lead by example. Hopefully I can help the younger players through the game.”
