Steve praise for the job Gary Johnson has achieved at Huish Park
Steve Davis has praised the job Gary Johnson has performed at Yeovil Town this season and says their rebuilding programme has been spot on to make them promotion contenders.
Crewe travel to Huish Park this weekend looking to recover from a heavy defeat inflicted by Swindon in mid-week and with Yeovil guaranteed a play-off place and Cree safe, it should be an entertaining contest.
Before travelling south, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Yeovil are certainly no mugs and they have had a great season with a small squad and small budget.
“Gary has done a great job there. He has bought together a goof group of players and his recruitment has been good. They have been up there challenging in the top six for much of the season and they deserve great credit for that.
“They have been able to establish themselves in the division and improve each year by improving their squad. That is what you have to do and what we will look to do. It is important to try and keep your better players and add to that.
“We have adapted well to League One and next year, we have to be slightly better and improve the group.
“Yeovil narrowly lost to Oldham in the week so they will be looking to respond as well, so it should be a good game.”
