Steve Davis says he will assess who is fit and available before he names his travelling squad
Steve Davis says he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Tuesday night’s visit to Swindon Town. The Alex boss was forced into a number of enforced changes during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Doncaster Rovers, with young centre-half George Ray marking his full debut and Michael West recalled to the starting line-up.
Alan Martin also impressed coming in the injured Steve Phillips (dead leg).
The Alex boss will be assessing the fitness of his captain Luke Murphy after he only recently returned from a groin injury and Kelvin Mellor (infected toe)
The Crewe Alexandra boss told the club’s official web-site: “We don’t have any fresh injury concerns from the weekend. No-one was injured on Saturday. We have a few knocks but not enough to keep them out of training and travelling tomorrow.
“I will have to assess who we have available before we decide on the squad. We won’t do much today, just some light work and recovery. We will leave it until tomorrow to select the team and we will be going to Swindon to try and get a result.”
