On-loan Inman hoping to get Wembley chance after recent return from injury

Crewe Alexandra’s Area Final hero Brad Inman is hoping he will get the chance to realise an ambition and play at Wembley on Sunday.

Inman’s two superbly taken goals against Coventry City in the first leg at the Ricoh Arena went an awfully long way in booking the club’s second appearance at the home of football in the space of 11 months.

Inman, who has now fully recovered from an ankle injury is now hoping he has done enough to convince manager Steve Davis that is worthy of a place in his starting eleven against Southend United.

Ahead of this weekend’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, Bradden told the club’s official web-site: “I haven’t been thinking about Wembley. It seemed a long way off when I was injured and wasn’t playing. My aim was just to get fit as soon as possible and get back playing regular football again.

“Now we can look forward to the final and the occasion. We are a good side and we will be going to Wembley to put on a performance and win the trophy.

“You don’t get many chances to play at Wembley and some of the top players in the game never get a chance to play there, so you have to embrace it and enjoy the moment.

“It is something you grow up with, watching finals and matches at Wembley. It is every players dream to play at Wembley and it will be a great honour.

Brad added: “The Coventry game was one of the best nights. I scored two of the best goals of my career there and we won the game. It was an enjoyable night. Now I just hope I can get a chance to play in the Final and hopefully score. The most important thing is that the team win.”
