Mathias Pogba to have scan today to reveal knee progress

Mathias Pogba is making significant progress from his knee injury and is set to see a consultant today to assess his recovery. The former Wrexham forward is not suffering any pain or soreness with the injury and is hoping to get the all-clear to step up his rehab next week.Pogba has scored four goals for Crewe this season following his summer switch from the Welsh side.

Steve Davis, the Alex manager, has praised the hard work of his summer signing to get himself fit as soon as possible.

Steve told crewealex.net: Pogs will go for a scan today to see how much the cartilage has healed. He isn’t suffering with too much pain or discomfort now and that is a strong sign that it is healing properly.

“He has been working extremely hard in the gym and is a question of building his knee and fitness up again, so that he can return to training.

“The next two games will come around too soon but he shouldn’t be too long.”
