Club to assess damage to City's star knee

Harry Bunn will undergo a scan to assess the damage to his knee after the on-line Manchester City youngster left the field on a stretcher during the club’s 0-0 draw with Tranmere Rovers. Bunn twisted his knee after landing awkwardly after chasing a long ball from Luke Murphy over the top of the Rovers defence.

Encouragingly, the 19-year-old was able to leave the Alexandra Stadium on crutches but the damage can only really be assessed once the swelling around the knee has subsided.

Steve Davis understandably didn’t make comment on it at the weekend and will assess his options once he knows how long the winger/forward is ruled out for.

Bunn is on a six-month deal from Manchester City.
