Davis on dealing with speculation

Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that is completely focused on his job despite being linked with the vacant position at his former club Burnley. Davis says that speculation is always going to happen in football and that neither players or managers can really control it. The Alex boss is purely focussed on acquiring three points at the Bescot Stadium this weekend.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “You cannot control these type of things in football. If you are a player or a manager and you are doing reasonably well then you are sure to appear on someone’s radar. That is natural and you cannot do anything about the speculation that comes with football.

“I have a job on here at Crewe and I am concentrating on that. From my point of view the only thing that matters to me is the three points up for grabs at Walsall this weekend. That is all I am concentrating on and everything else I can really control.”
