Bond Returns To Colchester

30 October 2012

Club will not be extending midfielder's loan deal

Crewe Alexandra will not be looking to extend the loan deal of midfielder Andy Bond after his current deal expired on Sunday evening. Bond has returned to his parent club Colchester United after re-joining Crewe for a one-month loan deal as cover for the injured Abdul Osman (ankle).

Bond, who came through the Academy system at Crewe, made five appearances for the club before he picked up a groin/hip injury which ruled him out of our last two matches.

Crewe Alexandra would like to thank Andy and wish him all the best with his future. Colchester visit Gresty Road on November 10th.

Manager Steve Davis said: “Andy has gone back to Colchester. He picked up a groin injury that was also affecting his hip and that has set him back.

“He came in to cover for Abdul and he did a job for us in there.”
