Pogs Hunting More Goals

Leading scorer eyes four in four this weekend

Mathias Pogba is hoping he can continue in his rich vein of goalscoring form this weekend, as the Alex make the relatively short trip to Shrewsbury Town. Pogba has scored three in his last three games to take his tally for the season to seven goals in all competitions and the former Wrexham man is targeting more in the coming weeks to make sure Crewe move away from the relegation zone.

Ahead of the club’s trip to the Greenhous Meadow, Pogs said:  “If I can score goals then I know it is helps the team to win points. I am just pleased that my goals recently have helped the team to win. That is what we are focussed on.

“I have managed to score three in last three games and I always thought that if I got one again, more would follow. I was getting upset that I wasn’t scoring, so to get going again has been good for me and good for the team.

“I have also scored two headers and that is good, because it shows that I am playing to my strengths more. We do a lot of work on things at training and I’m happy when they come off in the games. If I can score some more important goals then I am even happy as well.”
