Duo Back In Training This Week

Youngsters Max Clayton and Ryan Colclough back from their injuries

Max Clayton and Ryan Colclough are set to give Crewe Alexandra a lift by resuming full training today. England youth international Clayton hasn’t featured for the club since Walsall away, when he suffered a groin strain in our 2-2 draw at the Bescot Stadium.

C
olclough, who recently signed his first professional contract with the club has been out for even longer having suffered a fractured jaw against MK Dons back in late September. The alignment has healed properly, thus allowing the talented youngster to resume training again.

This weekend’s trip to Shrewsbury may come too quickly for both of them but Steve Davis says their return to training will give his squad a boost.

Steve told crewealex.net: “We have had a few injuries lately, so to have Max and Ryan back with us is a boost. They will be back out there with this week but I don’t think they will be ready for the weekend. They will need  a bit of time because they have missed a bit of football and will need some time.

“They are young and will need a few training sessions under their belts before we consider them again. I don’t want them to come back too quickly, and end up back in the treatment room.”
