Crewe Alexandra will assess the fitness of Byron Moore, Kelvin Mellor and Abdul Osman ahead of this weekend’s visit of Colchester United.
Winger Moore was forced off at half time during the impressive win over Colchester on Tuesday night and will undergo an x-ray to assess the extent of his foot injury.
Mellor (knee) and Osman (ankle) also picked up blows in the win at the Keepmoat Stadium and have both sat out of training today. The likes of Brendon Daniels, Michael West, Gregor Robertson, Ollie Turton and Adam Dugdale are all on standby for involvement should Moore, Osman or Mellor miss out.
Elsewhere the Alex have been handed a fitness boost with the news that Max Clayton has returned to training today. The striker is unlikely to be considered for the Colchester game, but could return at Shrewsbury Town next weekend.
